Tony Robbins also known as Anthony Jay Robbins is an American speaker and author.
Robbins was born Anthony J. Mahavoric in North Hollywood, California on February 29, 1960. Robbins was the oldest of his three children. His parents divorced when Robbins was just 7. Anthony was legally adopted by Robbins when he turned 12.
Robbins is well known for his seminars, infomercials, and self-help books. These include Unlimited Power (published 1987) as well Awaken The Giant Inside (published 1993). Robbins Research International hosts his seminars.
Robbins said that his home was chaotic and abusive. He fled his home when he was seventeen years old and he never returned.
Robbins began to promote seminars for motivational speaker Jim Rohn when he was 17 years old.
Robbins worked in Ericksonian Hypnosis, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), and was a practitioner in Ericksonian Hypnosis. Robbins partnered in NLP with John Grinder in the 1980s. Later, Robbins learned to firewalk. He integrated it into his seminars.
Robbins established the Leadership Academy seminar back in 1997. Robbins has worked on an individual basis with Bill Clinton and Justin Tuck.
