1. Deadline (1994)
Check Latest Price On
This novel is about a deadline for a basketball game—as opposed to a deadline for death, that is. When star player Matt Stanton falls ill in mid-game and collapses, he later learns from his doctor that he only has months to live. He can’t tell anyone about his diagnosis because no one would believe him and it could cost him his career if anyone thinks he’s slacking off or not putting in enough effort. Instead, Matt has just over a year to do everything he wants—from making amends with people who have wronged him to planning out how to tell those closest to him about his disease and convince them that they should love Jesus before it’s too late.
2. The Dominion (1996)
Check Latest Price On
One day Jesus will return. And when He does, He will set up a 1,000-year kingdom on earth where He rules with absolute sovereignty. Most people aren’t ready for that to happen–but Randy Alcorn is convinced that many are missing it because they think more about heaven than they do about earth! In The Dominion, he explores what a life lived in allegiance to Christ’s authority and dominion might look like. While taking aim at modern popular culture, including television shows such as Touched by an Angel and books like The Celestine Prophecy, he challenges Christians to heed God’s Word so they can live in hope–and equip themselves for His coming kingdom. This is one of his most loved books from his extensive body of writing.
3. Deception (2007)

Telling stories in a lighthearted way is a skill often shared by preachers, comedians, and writers. While all these professions require speaking publicly, they differ greatly in what people will remember them for. If you’re a writer who wants to be known for telling memorable stories that help your readers see an eternal perspective on life, then deception can be an effective tool. As founder of Eternal Perspective Ministries (EPM), New York Times best-selling author and speaker Randy Alcorn sees himself as storyteller more than preacher or theologian.

Edge of Eternity is a 1998 novel by Christian author and evangelist Randy Alcorn. It concerns a man, Nick Eastman, who has been cryogenically frozen in 1996 and revived 125 years later. Released by Multnomah Publishers (now Waterbrook Multnomah), it was an international bestseller that spent more than 16 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list. Since then, it has sold over three million copies worldwide, making it one of evangelical fiction’s most successful titles since C. S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia . Edge Of Eternity also inspired a 1999 film adaptation starring James Garner and John Travolta.

6. The Ishbane Conspiracy (2001)

In 2000, Randy Alcorn found himself in a difficult and humbling position. In 1990, he self-published his first book (Money, Possessions and Eternity), and it began to generate significant income. For ten years, he had poured virtually all of his resources into authoring more than twenty nonfiction books; now these books were beginning to be accepted among evangelical Christians as major contributions to theology. Some were even becoming bestsellers and garnering critical acclaim. Yet at no time during those ten years had he ever calculated or sought income—he gave away every royalty check (which averaged $300 a month) to various ministries working with orphans and inner-city kids.

11. Eternity (2013)
Check Latest Price On
The first question people usually ask when they learn about my work is, Do you really believe people can live forever? Since I wrote my book Heaven in 2005, I have had plenty of opportunities to answer that question with a resounding yes. However, what some people who ask don’t realize is that belief isn’t enough to sustain our confidence in life after death. After we agree with 1 Corinthians 15:19 that if Christ has not been raised then our preaching is useless and so is your faith.

In his introduction to Money, Possessions and Eternity, Randy writes that he had a fascination with death from a young age. He worked as an assistant funeral director after graduating from high school. His fascination led him to pursue a career in mortuary science, which he received in 1976. With a business administration degree in one hand and his new certification as a mortician in another, he then opened up his own funeral home. After five years, he was burnt out on trying to help people through their loss, specifically because they did not want to take advantage of what God has planned for them once they arrived at eternity.

Kids are never too young to learn biblical truths!

In The Grace and Truth Paradox, New York Times best-selling author and founder of Eternal Perspective Ministries (EPM) explores what life would be like if we were honest about ourselves. He outlines six eye-opening insights that provide a nonjudgmental assessment of how we see God, other people, our pasts, and our future. It’s a unique exploration of how our natural self-centeredness keeps us from seeing God and reality as they truly are. As we journey through these paradoxes together with Alcorn, he seeks to help us replace self-serving conclusions with God’s truth.
17. The Law of Rewards (2003)
Check Latest Price On
When I started on my journey with God as a teenager, I was consumed with questions. Why is there evil and suffering in a world created by an all-loving God? Why do people go to hell when Jesus said he came to save everyone? How can Christians have assurance that they’ll spend eternity with God? As I pursued answers, it was pointed out to me that Satan accuses Christians, but only if they first accuse themselves (Revelation 12:10). Satan delights in setting up believers with mountains of guilt and fear. He works relentlessly to turn our focus away from Jesus Christ and onto ourselves. If we give him space, he’ll fill it! This book presents two key truths we must never forget.
18. The Purity Principle (2003)

It’s a common question for young singles—how far is too far before marriage? And even married couples could benefit from hearing from one of today’s foremost experts on purity. In The Purity Principle, popular Christian author and speaker Randy Alcorn addresses these topics and more in a thorough and accessible way. Using solid Scripture as his guide, he covers everything from how to respond to sexual temptations to how to counsel those struggling with sexual sin. Few other books cover these issues with such depth and empathy, making The Purity Principle an important addition to any library. With nearly 100 million copies sold, Alcorn has consistently been one of America’s top ten bestselling Christian authors.
19. Heaven (2004)
Check Latest Price On
Heaven is not just a destination but also a gift. Just as Jesus Christ created us for his glory and pleasure, so he has prepared for us all that we will ever need for eternal happiness. Heaven is much more than a place—it’s an everlasting relationship with God himself. This book paints a portrait of heaven from a Biblical perspective, taking into account details from Scripture such as what it means to have a new body, how there will be no sin or death in heaven, and how living forever with God in heaven can be ours now—because Jesus Christ has secured our place there through his death on the cross. Heaven helps readers envision their final home as well as eternity spent in fellowship with God.
